Meet Dr. Alexis Meyers

Dr. Alexis Meyers was born a Florida girl. Although the beach is pretty, she did NOT love the heat! Her mom was born and raised in Irwin, PA, and those family ties and Yinzer roots always brought Dr. Meyers back to the Keystone State. From a young age, she always enjoyed going to Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates games. She has come to love the change in seasons, the pierogi festival, and the many night markets around Sewickley throughout the year.

Dr. Meyers attended the University of Florida for eight years- undergrad and dental school. While there, she enjoyed taking dance classes and teaching group fitness classes at the gym. She then decided on a change of scenery and attended the University of Kentucky for a fast-paced pediatric dentistry residency for two years. After starting practice in Kentucky, she decided her heart was elsewhere. She has since worked for a large group practice for the past 3+ years, and chose to start a practice she could call her own.

She lives with her younger sister and their two pugs right around the corner from the office. She enjoys walking to work, playing with her pugs, spending time with her family (mom and dad live right down the street), traveling, going to Pittsburgh sporting events, and dancing!

She looks forward to taking care of all the little smiles of Sewickley, Northwest Pittsburgh and surrounding areas!

FAQs

We aim to ensure that both parents and children feel informed and comfortable with our care.

When should my child see a dentist for the first time?

We recommend scheduling your child’s first dental visit by their first birthday or when their first tooth appears—whichever comes first. Early visits help build positive habits and catch any potential issues early on.

What if my child is nervous or scared?

Our dental team is specially trained to work with children of all ages—including those who are anxious or visiting for the first time. We use a gentle, fun, and supportive approach to help every child feel safe and relaxed.

Can I accompany my child during the appointment?

Absolutely. We welcome parents to stay with their child throughout the visit—especially during first appointments. Your presence helps your child feel calm and supported.

How long will the first visit take?

Most first appointments last 30–45 minutes, depending on your child’s age and needs. We go at your child’s pace to ensure a positive, stress-free experience.
